Realme GT 8 Pro gets ColorOS 17 with Android 17 in India
Realme says its stable ColorOS 17 update, based on Android 17, starts reaching the Realme GT 8 Pro in India from 29 October, as set in the schedule it shared on 13 October. It arrives in batches. The GT 7 Pro and Realme 16 Pro phones follow from 30 October.
Realme set 29 October as the start date for the stable ColorOS 17 update on the Realme GT 8 Pro in India when it shared its rollout schedule on 13 October. This is the first big update since Realme dropped Realme UI, so the phone moves to the same software as Oppo and OnePlus phones, along with Android 17.
The update goes out in batches, so it can take a few days to reach your phone. To check, open Settings, then Software update. Back up your photos and chats first and keep at least half the battery before you install. Other Realme phones get it later, from November into early 2027. See all Realme phones in India, ranked.
