    • Decent 50MP main camera with a larger sensor and 4K video, but a basic 8MP wide-angle and no zoom.
    • Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 handles daily apps well but is slow for heavy games at this price.
    • Heavy at about 230g, and the chip is slow for ₹49,999.
    • HyperOS 3 (Android 16), 4 years of updates • 7.4/10

  2. #2Redmi Note 17 5G

    ₹27,999
    Best alternative

    • 8000mAh battery easily lasts a full day with plenty left; 45W charging takes about 90 minutes.
    • Just one 50MP camera on the back, decent in daylight but inconsistent at night, and no 4K video.
    • Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is slower than last year's model; fine for daily apps, weak for games.
    • Slower chip than the Redmi Note 15, a single camera and a single speaker for ₹27,999.
    • HyperOS 3 (Android 16), 4 years of updates • 6.9/10

  3. #3Redmi Note 17 Pro

    ₹36,999

A very tough Redmi with a huge 9000mAh battery and a big, bright screen.

    • Excellent battery life (17 hours 32 minutes in GSMArena's test of the 8340mAh global model; India gets 9000mAh), with 67W charging.
    • Basic: a small-sensor 50MP main camera and an 8MP wide-angle, and video only goes up to 1080p.
    • Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 is fine for apps and social media but weak for games.
    • Slow chip and basic cameras for ₹36,999; the Poco X8 has the same hardware for less.

  4. #4Redmi Note 15 5G

    ₹28,999

A slim, tough Redmi with a bright AMOLED screen, a 108MP stabilised camera and four years of Android updates.

    • 108MP main camera with stabilisation plus a wide-angle camera; solid, not outstanding.
    • Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is smooth for daily use; GSMArena found gaming battery life poor.
