- Best alternative
#2Apple iPhone 18 Pro
₹1,64,900A small, very fast premium iPhone with a brighter screen, better battery and quicker charging than last year.

- It costs $100 (about ₹9,500) more than the iPhone 17 Pro and the camera upgrades are small; a bit heavy for its size.
- iOS 27.0.1, 5 years of updates • 8.8/10
#3Apple iPhone 17
₹99,900The easiest iPhone to recommend: smooth 120Hz screen, 256GB storage and great all-round performance at the standard price.

- Reliable 48MP main and 48MP ultrawide cameras, plus a very good selfie camera; no zoom lens.
- Fast and smooth for everything, though it warms up in long games.

- One good 48MP rear camera that handles 2x shots well, but no ultrawide.
- Same A19 chip family as the iPhone 17, so everyday speed feels the same.
- The screen is only 60Hz with a big notch, there is one rear camera, and charging is slow.
- iOS 27.0.1, 5 years of updates • 7.6/10
#5Apple iPhone 16
₹89,900A compact, easy iPhone with the Camera Control button and years of updates left.

- The A18 chip is still fast and smooth for everything.
- Only a 60Hz screen, 128GB base storage, and after Apple's ₹20,000 price rise the newer iPhone 17 costs only ₹10,000 more.
- iOS 27.0.1, 5 years of updates • 7.6/10

- Updates on top phones
- Apple commits to security updates for at least 5 years from the first sale of an iPhone. It does not publish a fixed number of iOS upgrades.
- Updates on budget phones
- Same pledge for the cheaper iPhones (e.g. iPhone 16e). Apple has no separate budget policy.
