- Service in India
- Samsung: Over 3,000 authorised service points in India (Samsung, Feb 2026). Repairs are carry-in. A pick-up and drop service has existed since 2021 for a fee (Rs 199 then). Within 14 days of activation, a confirmed manufacturing defect can get a replacement at a service centre with box and invoice.Google: Thin network. Google runs two own walk-in centres (Delhi, Bengaluru; Mumbai was planned) with same-day repairs. In March 2025 Google said it had about 30 multi-brand partner centres and planned to roughly double them by end of 2025. Earlier reports cited 100+ partner centres via Flipkart's F1 Info Solutions, so the true count is unclear.
- Preloaded apps and ads
- Samsung: No ads in One UI on budget phones per FoneArena's Galaxy A17 review, but it preloads third-party apps (Netflix, Truecaller, Snapchat, PhonePe, DailyHunt, Spotify, Microsoft apps). You can decline some during setup. Even the S26 Ultra pulls Meta and Microsoft apps after sign-in.Google: Cleanest Android here: no third-party bloatware or system ads.
